Unlke when I had surgery earlier this year I now have a room to myself. After spending most of the night in the ER I have been diagnosed with multiple pulmonary embolisms (emboli?) , most likely caused by the chemo. Like my cancer, it was caught in time and thus shouldn’t require any invasive procedures, most likely just blood thinners until I’m done with chemo in two months.

Many thanks to the Oppo community for your support and good wishes. You guys mean the world to me and I am proud to be a member of this forum.

That’s an ok view. About what you can expect for recovery.

Those Call Don’t Fall signs are funny. When I was just in recovery, they were plastered every 10 feet, like the first 5 times you read it aren’t going to get the point across.

Yay you finally got a bed on a ward. I hope you got some sleep, but. You surely haven’t gotten enough. It was a long rough day for you yesterday so make sure you catch up on that sleep that’s owed to you.

Glad you’re getting it taken care of. My dad has had a couple PEs over the last few years, and has recovered nicely from that (though his most recent followup showed *something* in his lung, so he’s scheduled for a PET scan and a biopsy for that).
